Clinical Significance
This reagent is used for the quantitative determination of lipoprotein (a) in human serum in vitro. Serum lipoprotein levels are determined by genetic factors. There is no significant difference in serum lipoprotein levels between groups of different ages and genders. > 350mg/L is usually used as the limit of risk factors for cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases. In addition, abnormal lipoprotein can also be seen in liver, kidney disease, diabetes, etc.
Inspecting Principle
Lp(a) antigen in serum is combined with the corresponding antibody sensitized particles in the reagent to form antigen and antibody complex and cause the change of turbidity, which is proportional to the content of lipoprotein (a).
